San Salvador. Within the framework of holistic emergency care, and after the alert due to the threat that Tropical Storm Pilar represents for El Salvador, the Municipal Works Directorate (DOM) joined the action plan requested by President Nayib Bukele.
On his social networks, President Bukele asked the Legislative Assembly to hold an extraordinary session to decree a State of Emergency that allows the government to use the necessary tools and resources in the event of eventualities arising from the effects of “Pilar.”
DOM authorities said that their technical personnel and machinery have been immediately made available for any emergency that may arise in the municipalities and constant communication is also maintained with the mayors.
“We ask the population to comply with the recommendations of the authorities who must be informed in the event of any type of emergency,” the authorities said in a brief statement issued on the night of this Sunday, October 29.
