Domestic Hajis have completed their Hajj duties and started their return journey

Makkah | The pilgrims from Saudi completed the Hajj and started their return journey from the holy land. The pilgrims, who spent the night at Mina, completed the stoning ceremony and reached the Masjid-ul-Haram and completed the farewell Tawaf.

Domestic pilgrims were allowed time for farewell Tawaf on Mondays and Tuesdays. Mataf’s full capacity is currently utilized due to increased traffic. For pilgrims from foreign countries, the time for Tawaf is from Wednesday. These restrictions are part of avoiding overcrowding in the harem.

Health Minister Fahd Al Jalajil said that 38 cases of Covid-19 have been reported among the pilgrims who have come to perform this year’s Hajj. The Hajj health scheme was a huge success as strict health regulations were imposed. No infectious diseases were reported among the pilgrims. Health services were provided to 1,30,000 pilgrims. More than 25,000 health workers and 2,000 volunteers have been engaged to implement the Ministry’s health schemes. Besides 447 dialysis sessions, 10 open heart surgeries and more than 187 cardiac catheterization procedures were performed, the minister said.
