Then, in the last episode, Marshal Cecchini (Nino Frassica) organized a plan so that Diego and Vittoria could get closer. The plan, however, did not go as planned and when the lights went out in the restaurant, Diego kissed what he thought was Vittoria. But then to find out that it was Giulia! The next day, Martini apologized, but both were ashamed of their betrayal.

Meanwhile, The wedding day arrives between Vittoria and Egidio Spaccapietra (Federico Galante). Diego was also invited to the ceremony, but he kindly declined the invitation. It would be too much for him to see the woman he loves walking down the aisle with someone else.
Cecchini will take care of the case. Of course, in their own way, with the usual absurd methods. He decides to stop Egidio and arrest him immediately. Her husband is not showing up in church. Vittoria decides to cancel the weddingsotto shock.
Egidio tries to explain his reasons, but his girlfriend and future wife don’t want to hear about it anymore. She leaves him definitively and for Martini the possibility of rapprochement opens up.

Try to chase him, but Don Massimo reminds him that the former parish priest is in Africa and that it is therefore impossible that he has returned to Spoleto. The strange “contact” is repeated several times and, since two clues prove it, Cecchini is convinced that the priest is in the city to celebrate his birthday.
His wife Elisa (Pamela Villoresi) also annoys him reiterating that Don Matteo is in Africa, but Nino doesn’t want to know. The rotating promo shows a match between Cecchini and Don Matteo. “You don’t know how much I miss him,” the marshal admits to him. It is not yet known, however, whether it is a projection by Cecchini or whether the parish priest will really reveal himself on the occasion of the party.
