Ettringen. For the 8th time, the Ettringen Kolping Family is collecting used and still wearable shoes and is thus supporting the International Adolph Kolping Foundation. The shoes should be tied together in pairs. The wearable shoes go to the Kolping partner country Bolivia.
Valuable ores and metals are processed into the cell phones. These raw materials are often mined under inhumane conditions in the Congo. The donated cell phones are recycled to extract valuable raw materials. Almost everyone has one or more cell phones at home that are no longer used or are defective.
Shoes and cell phones can be dropped off on Saturday, December 16th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hauptstrasse 19 in Ettringen (below Roy’s Pizzeria) and from December 4th at Frank Schumacher, Kolpingstrasse 40 in Ettringen.
