Donatella Versace and Revolve Partner for New Beauty and Fashion Brand

Fashion icon Donatella Versace has partnered with digital retailer Revolve Group to launch an independent beauty and fashion brand, stepping into her new role as chief creative officer under a high-profile joint venture announced in Milan and Los Angeles on September 21, 2026.

More than a year after stepping down as creative director of the luxury house that bears her family’s name, Donatella Versace is preparing to build a new enterprise from the ground up. The venture, revealed on September 21, 2026, pairs the designer’s decades of cultural influence with the technological infrastructure of Los Angeles-based e-tailer Revolve Group.

The brand, which has not yet disclosed its official name, plans to roll out its initial products within the beauty category in the coming months before expanding into fashion. Initial markets for the venture include the United States, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East, with additional regions evaluated as the brand scales.

A New Creative Chapter Following Prada’s Acquisition of Versace

The partnership arrives roughly 18 months after Versace stepped down from her post at her family’s fashion house in March 2025.

Following her departure from the creative director role at her namesake label, Versace assumed the title of chief brand ambassador. Her new independent joint venture with Revolve gives her an entirely separate commercial and creative base.

“I believe creativity should be fearless, inclusive and alive in the world. I have always been inspired by the next generation, in music, film, art and, of course, fashion. This partnership gives me the freedom to speak to that generation in a completely new and personal way, through beauty and fashion.”

Revolve’s Digital-First Strategy and High-Profile Collaborations

Founded in 2003 by Michael Mente and Mike Karanikolas, Revolve Group operates through two primary segments—Revolve and Fwrd—offering apparel, footwear, accessories, and beauty products from emerging, established, and owned brands.

The venture with Versace follows previous partnerships with rapper Cardi B and influencer Sofia Richie Grainge. Revolve executives emphasized that the venture is designed to be a digital-first world people can participate in, not simply buy from through integrated content, experiences, and commerce.

“By combining Donatella’s creative authority with REVOLVE’s technology, infrastructure and global reach, we have an opportunity to create something genuinely distinctive — and build it for the long term.”

The collaboration builds on Revolve’s strong financial momentum. The company reported its third consecutive quarter of double-digit net sales growth in August, posting net sales of $347 million, up 12% year over year.

Financial Footprint and Market Expansion Plans

This capital backing provides the infrastructure needed to support an international rollout across the United States, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East.

What Remains Unanswered

While the partnership has been officially announced, critical details regarding the brand’s identity remain undisclosed. Executives have yet to reveal the official name of the independent company, the precise timeline for the secondary fashion rollout following the initial beauty launch, or specific product pricing.

Industry observers will be watching to see how Donatella Versace’s digital-first venture resonates with the younger demographic targeted by Revolve.
