The Wattenwil March was held for the last time this year (2023).
Thanks to the voluntary work of the women’s association, the employees of the municipal administration and other volunteers as well as the numerous sponsorship contributions, the Wattenwil March was able to make a small profit.
This was placed in the Wattenwil-Marsch fund, which currently has a holding of around 50,000 francs.
Sustainable use of the Wattenwil-Marsch fund
At the request of the organizing committee, the local council decided to make the following donations.
A table with two benches for the fourth kindergarten in Kits, the renovation or purchase of the bench at the Heidbühl lookout point and the maintenance work on the Milchwagli.
According to the fund regulations, the funds are intended for the general public infrastructure and culture of the municipality of Wattenwil.
The fund remains in existence even if the Wattenwil March is no longer held. This means that the population can benefit from the proceeds of this event for several years to come.
