For many years, the local history association with the Heudorf fools’ guild has advocated forgoing gifts from guests, for example at fools’ meetings, and for donating the money raised here to the support association for children with cancer in Tübingen. At the last meeting of fools in Heudorf in 2020, around 630 euros were raised. The committee of the home association spontaneously decided to round up the amount to 1000 euros. Unfortunately, due to Corona, we were not able to hand over this check personally until July 3rd. Horst Simschek, the deputy chairman of the association, received the delegation from the local association and explained to the delegation how and where these donations are used. With the motto “courage-help-hope” this institution fights tirelessly and together with many donors against cancer in children in close cooperation with the University of Tübingen.
With a good feeling of having done exactly the right thing. As a non-profit association, we are convinced that the money is very well invested here. Despite a lot of suffering from catastrophes and war, we must not forget such important associations that offer unbureaucratic help to many affected families. Mr. Simschek was visibly touched and thanked the delegation.
