If the refugees would not organize themselves together with people from Lesvos, they would suffocate in plastic waste in no time. The camp is currently threatened by another resettlement in a forest, which would further expand the prison-like conditions. We also protest against that.
The organization “Stand by me lesvos” introduces itself: “We are a non-profit, charitable self-organization that focuses on three areas: education, environment and empowerment and empowerment of the refugees. For these goals we work with self-organized teams in the camp. We were founded in 2017.”
We collect the donations in Germany in a joint project group: Solidarity International, environmental union, nationwide initiative for ecological reconstruction.
