After opening the tournament with three losses and looking like they were on the way out, the Lithuanians won their last two games and qualified for the round of 16, where they will meet Spain. The winner rose from fourth place in Group B together with Slovenia, France and Germany.
The one who stood out among the winners was Marius Grigonis with 16 points and six rebounds. Ignas Brazdeikis, Jonas Valenchounas and Arens Butkavicios added 13 points each. The Bosnians and Dejanen Musa, who scored 22 points, recorded their second consecutive loss and were unfortunately eliminated from the European Championship even before the knockout stages.
