Donnarumma renewal: according to Corriere dello Sport, the goalkeeper denied contacts with Juventus and reiterated that it is he who decides on his future and not Raiola
Yet another episode of the soap opera on the renewal of Gigio Donnarumma with Milan expiring next July. The Rossoneri goalkeeper in recent days has had to face the challenge from a fringe of fans, who would have asked for his exclusion in the key match with Juventus in the race for the Champions League in case of failure to sign for the extension of the contract by the end of the weekend.
Donnarumma initially did not want to meet the ultras and apparently it was the club that convinced him. After the face to face, the young goalkeeper would have cried, further demonstrating his affection for the Rossoneri. The sporting director of Milan, Paolo Maldini, however, immediately put an end to the controversy by declaring that any renewal will be discussed at the end of the season to allow the players to concentrate on the field and above all that only the coach and the club decide who plays and renews the contract.

Beyond what happens publicly, the negotiations for the renewal of Donnarumma between Mino Raiola and Milan continue. According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, the player born in 1999 would have explained to the Rossoneri club the reason for the delay on the extension and denied having already reached an agreement with Juventus. “I want to stay at Milan and I decide on the future”, declared Donnarumma.
Milan is stuck on an offer of 8 million euros a year while the goalkeeper’s attorney would ask for at least 10 million.
