Oviedo continues to mourn the death of Aleksandra and Anastasiiathe 12-year-old twins who fell out of a sixth-story window of the building where they lived on Facetos street.
The last novelty that we have known is the blocking of the judge of the case to the Police, denying them access to girls devices. The magistrate alleges that without permission from the family, none of the devices of the minors can be taken.
This Wednesday, ‘The New Spain‘ shares the letter that the family of the twins have sent to society, transferring their “most sincere and resounding thanks“to those who have echoed the case.

In memory of Aleksandra and Anastasiia and for their eternal rest, their family and friends, we want to convey our most sincere and resounding gratitude to society as a whole and at all levels, local, regional and state, and with the aim of not forgetting to quote to anyone, State Security Forces and Corps, Local Police, Red Cross, Justice, Public Health, Education, Educational Community of CP La Ería de Oviedo and the Media for having reported, with very anecdotal exceptions, truthfully, due rigor and above all the greatest respect for the privacy of the figure of two exceptional minors and their exemplary family.
We are extremely grateful, for their speed in processing each and every one of the necessary steps and their enormous and priceless generosity, both to the City Council of Oviedo, personally, to the Mayor D. Alfredo Canteli Fernández, to the Orthodox Dean D. Andréy Kórdochkin, as well like each and every one of the members of the Sociedad Funerarias Reunidas.
Likewise, given the unusual immediacy with which we lose focus on current affairs in these times, we urge everyone, and especially the Administrations and Institutions, not to let this tragic and mournful event fall into oblivion and to get involved. in helping this family, broken by immense pain, to overcome and move forward with the wonderful minor who still accompanies them in their search for a freer and better future in our land.
