Don’t forget: watch the booing of Ashraf Hakimi

It’s back again. After suffering scathing boos from the Israeli crowd in Bloomfield last year as well, Ashraf Hakimi suffered the fury of his anger again this evening (Sunday) in the French Super Cup where PSG meets Nantes.

As I recall, during the security escalation a little over a year ago, Hakimi was a participant in a campaign that included quite a few soccer players around the world, who supported the Palestinians on social media. This created quite a bit of antagonism among the Israeli audience, who responded in the game tonight as well.

For Hakimi as mentioned, this is not a surprise. Even in the French Super Cup game held in Bloomfield a year ago, when PSG met Lille, the Moroccan defender was booed from the stands.
