The court has told the OPS side that they are not in contempt of the court by seeking adjournment of the AIADMK General Committee case.
O. Panneerselvam filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the verdict of the two-judge bench of the Madras High Court in the AIADMK general committee case. When this petition came up for hearing on November 21, O. Panneerselvam requested a week’s time. The case was then adjourned to December 6.

In this case, a request was made by O. Panneerselvam to take up the investigation on December 13. The Supreme Court refused and announced that the case will be heard on December 6. Accordingly, when the case came up for hearing again today, O. Panneerselvam’s side requested that the hearing should be adjourned due to the non-appearance of the senior advocate.
Hearing this, the judges rudely advised them not to insult the court by asking for adjournment of the case and adjourned the hearing to the 12th.
