Don’t sit at home yet – Gimtasis Rokiškis

by time news

It is true that on Saturday and Sunday there will still be concerts of the organ festival in Kamajai and Rokiški, but somehow I forgot to invite them, because it seems that everyone knows and prepares in advance.

And what to do for those who don’t have potatoes and don’t want to clean the house? Yes, not sitting at home while the weather permits and, as one poet said, “it’s so beautiful that there’s nowhere to go.”

You can go to the forest, and if you want good company in the forest, Šimonii Forestry (Kupiški district) organizes a traditional Mushroom Festival on Saturday. Nearby, in Skapiški, another traditional holiday is Sūrio, “And I put delicious cheese”. Someone else will add “with whole sour cream” and they will be right – that sour cream goes well with both cheese and mushrooms. Everywhere you can have fun and replenish your home’s food supply. If you stay overnight in Kupiški, then take the same route and visit the international band festival in Noriūnai on Sunday.

If you don’t want to collect, dig or buy anything, you can go hiking in nature. On Sunday, the Biržai Region Museum is organizing an educational tour “The Path of the Poet Partisan Broniaus Krivickas”. Hikers will depart from the mentioned museum at 9 am. morning And on Friday at 4 p.m. the people of Zarasi invite you to a hike-excursion along the old roads along which Zarasi grew up. Since the guide of this excursion will be historian Ramūnas Keršys, it can be guaranteed that it will be wildly interesting.

On Sunday, folklore lovers will roam around Zarasai district, because at 12:00 p.m. In Stelmužė, the 19th Sutarjėla festival of Aukštaitija region sutarjėla will begin, which will then move to Dusetas, and in the evening to the island of Lake Zaras. Personally, I find it more fun to sing sutra songs than to listen to them, but for folklore enthusiasts bile conventional – they dissolve in their solution.

“Mahamaya Electronic Devices: an immersive journey into the nature of humanity” (directed by Ivanas Vyrypajevas and Mikola Mišinas) based on the latest play by the same I. Vyrypajev premiered at the J. Miltinii Theater in Panevėžys on the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, right after the premiere, the Teal Discussion: Future Communication System and Management will be held in the same theater. The festival of contemporary dramaturgy “New Folder” also begins with this premiere on Sunday.

And if you want something serious, Paliesias Manor in Ignalina district is always at your service. Pianist Simonas Miknius performs there on Saturday, and on Sunday Juozas Rimas and pianist Lina Šatkutė will perform songs of the Lithuanian nation (!) and F. Šubert. The oboe maestro sang some time ago and got the audience interested.

You can go out to fields and forests, lakesides and homesteads in your village anyway. It is still full of colors and the water is warm. So it’s not worth sitting at home.
