Lots of ladies happen to have some pieces of clothing go through a small hole. This makes them reluctant to wear them again, or turn them into dust-removing cloths or sponges for bathing. But this technique would save the perforated piece of clothing. Try it:

What you need for a small hole in clothes:

  • Heat cling lining
  • Spray bottle full of water
  • A very clean and smooth piece of cloth
  • Embroidery fixing paper
  • Ironing supplies: Ironing board and iron

Stages:

  • Turn the piece of clothing over so that the inside is outside and place it on the board. Focusing on the hole to reach it easily.
  • Carefully iron the puncture site to remove potential folds, then allow it to cool. Try to gather the visible fibers or threads with your fingers to close the hole a little.
  • Cut a small piece of heat-adhering cloth and place it over the hole. Cover it with mounting paper.
  • Plug the iron in until it’s hot and set it to the heat for the wool.
  • Lay the cloth over the sweater while the iron is heating up after spraying water over it. Hold the iron gently over the fabric for 10 seconds without moving or pressing it. Lift it gently.
  • Remove the cloth and put the piece of clothing back to the correct side. If needed, move the fabric a little with your fingers to smooth it out and bind the fibres, then iron it again for about 10 seconds.
