‘Don’t realize now who the real pappu is’; Mahua Moitra against Centre’s claims of rights
New Delhi: Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra strongly criticized the central government’s economic policies. She gave a scathing reply to the central government’s assertion of the country’s economic progress.
Mahua retorted that the Centre’s arguments were unfounded and contradicted by citing the figures of industrial output.
In the Lok Sabha, the MP criticized the BJP government’s claims that the economy is doing well and everyone is getting all the basic amenities like gas cylinders, housing and electricity.
Mahua replied that the Centre’s claims are false and the truth is coming out now.
”This government and the ruling party were the first to use the word Pappu. You used this pejorative word to show incompetence and incompetence.
But these figures tell who is the real Pappu. Is this a sign of a healthy economic environment? Who is papu now?
“There is an atmosphere of terror in this country where the sword of the Enforcement Directorate hangs over businessmen and high net worth individuals,” Mahua said.
The Trinamool leader’s remarks were made by quoting the latest data released by the National Statistical Office.
BJP leaders used the word Pappu to insult Rahul Gandhi.
She added that the central government is spreading wrong information about India’s growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
