Abu Dhabi: UAE Police warns drivers not to use phones while driving Abu Dhabi Police has warned that habits such as using mobile phones, using the Internet and paying attention to messages on social media while driving can lead to road accidents.

In the first half of 2022, more than 100,000 drivers in the emirate were punished for such hiring violations, officials said. Violators face a fine of Dh800 and four black points.

The risk of road accidents increases tenfold while driving. Therefore, habits that lead to distraction from the road should be avoided when using vehicles. The police stated that careless driving habits lead to flouting safety instructions including red signals and can lead to very serious accidents.
