In this meeting, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India TY Chandrachud spoke:

District courts in India heard 1.65 crore cases via video after the outbreak of the Corona virus. Similarly, the lower courts heard 75.8 lakh cases and the Supreme Court heard 3.79 lakh cases via video.

The spread of corona virus has forced the justice department to adopt modern methods to deliver justice. In principle, everyone’s goal should be to improve the courts. Don’t wait until another infection spreads to make decisions to do that.
