Actor Vijay Sethupathi was awarded the best actor award for Mamanithan.

The 20th Chennai International Film Festival started on 15th. The films were screened in cinemas including Chennai PVR Multiplex Theatres, Anna Cinemas.

In this case, the closing ceremony of this film festival was held on Thursday. Awards were also given to various film artists. Actor Vijay Sethupathi was awarded the best actor award for Mamanithan.

After that, actor Vijay Sethupathi said, “Watch the movies and understand the things that the directors want to convey through the story. Engage in healthy discussions. Life experiences become movies. Try to understand a movie as much as possible. Movies help us understand life.

Don’t try to understand any movie through reviews. That’s not good. Now a day you can get paid by saying bad things on YouTube. I don’t know if movies are viewed properly from critics point of view. I am very happy to share this award with actor Poo Ramu.

He also donated the award prize money back to the festival committee.
