In via Bufalini the door of the historic Michelucci building, now the headquarters of the CR Firenze Foundation, opens again to the public to reveal works by Giotto, Filippino Lippi, Vasari, Perugino, Mariotto di Nardo, Giovanni Fattori, Odoardo Borrani, Primo Conti, Giovanni Colacicchi, Lorenzo Viani, in a fascinating journey that goes from the ancient masters to the Renaissance artists, from the Macchiaioli and naturalist painters to the protagonists of the twentieth century, with more than one rarity, paintings closely linked to the history of Florence and Tuscany. After two years of closure due to a pandemic, the treasures of the Foundation’s art collection once again show themselves.

They will do so from tomorrow and Sunday for the European Heritage Days, and then until February 26, for two weekends a month, with the new edition of the In Collezione program, which includes itineraries, guided tours, activities and free workshops (reservations required , information https://www.fondazionecrfirenze.it/in-collezione/). We are pleased to be able to reopen the doors of our headquarters to the community to give everyone the opportunity to get to know and admire our precious art collection, says Gabriele Gori, general manager of the CR Firenze Foundation. During this reopening, we pay particular attention to children who, after participating in the online activities dedicated to the most precious works of art in the collection during the Covid period, are invited to see them in person. During the lockdown, the little ones were able to count on videos, games and remote educational activities offered by the Foundation and inspired by the masterpieces of its collection (also being able to take advantage of drawing kits that arrived directly at home): now they will be able to see those same works in person , and get to know them through workshops (Saturday and Sunday at 3pm): Adventures … in the Collection, for children aged 5 to 11 with reading of the book of the same name, visit to the itinerary, guided creation of a character and staging of a story, and Discoveries … in the Family Collection, to discover the most precious works of art through the five senses, on a journey through corals, ears of corn, seasons and music.

The calendar then includes guided tours for adults and children (Saturday and Sunday at 11, 12, 15.30, 17.30): a team of art historians and qualified tourist guides ready to accompany you on an itinerary in the institutional spaces that welcome the works of most precious art, in an environment which, deliberately, does not prefigure a museum, but a widespread space of artistic excellence. InCollezione … Dialoghi instead proposes, thanks to the renewed collaboration with the National Deaf Organization, guided tours in Lis-Italian Sign Language (the first will be on 25 September, 11.30 am on the occasion of World Deaf Day, then 23 October 18 December and February 26th at 5pm, November 27th and January 15th at 11.30am). In addition, one Saturday a month (2 October, 26 November, 17 December 28 January, 25 February at 12 noon) visits in Arabic conducted by foreigners and immigrants, in collaboration with Amir Project – Hospitality-Museums-Inclusion-Relationship: a dialogue in several voices, in which the mediators introduce a work and gather ideas for comparison with their cultures.
