Dordogne: a body found in a dam, investigation opened for assassination

by time news

An investigation for assassination was opened by the Bergerac prosecution after the discovery on Friday of the lifeless body of a man in a dam on the Dordogne, said this Saturday the public prosecutor Sylvie Guedès.

The body of the man, whose identity has not yet been determined, was found at the beginning of the afternoon by EDF agents in the Tuilières dam in Saint-Capraise-de-Lalinde, about fifteen kilometers east of Bergerac, said the prosecutor, confirming information from France Bleu Périgord.

The man was murdered

The first findings made it possible to determine that there had been intervention by a third party and to exclude accidental fall, drowning or natural death, leading to the opening of an investigation for “assassination” entrusted to the section Bordeaux Research Brigade and the Bergerac Research Brigade.

An autopsy must take place Monday in Bordeaux to clarify the causes of death.
