It’s a party that ends badly. This Wednesday, at the end of the Gourmet Nights, a summer event that is eagerly awaited since it attracts several thousand people to the town of Périgueux, in the Dordogne, an accident took place.
According to France Blue who reports the event, the incident occurred during the dismantling of the stage on which many musical groups perform, shortly before 10:40 p.m. Indeed, a sound speaker suddenly fell on the audience still present.
Injured deemed critical
The local media indicates that, for the moment, the reason for this accident is unknown.
The evening could have ended well. But a 45-year-old man suffered a head injury. Firefighters said he was in critical condition. A 70-year-old woman was also injured in the accident. She was injured in the shoulder.
Both were transported to the Périgueux hospital center.
