In a press conference after this Sunday’s draw (12) against Santos, in Vila Belmiro, coach Dorival Júnior praised São Paulo’s attitude and performance in the classic.

“We created a lot, we had a team again very well organized on the field, working the ball, involving the opponent, changing sides. We had infiltrations, crossed balls, attacking the opponent’s last line, all the ingredients for us to have a result unfortunately, once again, it didn’t happen”, said the coach after the 0-0 draw.

Even playing away from home, Tricolor had 12 shots in the match – including an invalidated goal – and 70% possession of the ball.

“The main thing is the volume of play that we have put into every match, this is already being accepted by the players and fully structured within our team. We changed names, very important names on the team, and even so our team remains, playing in the same way. For a professional who has only been in charge for six, seven months, it is very satisfactory. I am very happy”, added Dorival Júnior.
