Borussia Dortmund started the Bundesliga season on the right foot. The yellow-blacks, who beat Bayer Leverkusen 0:1 in the opening round, also beat Freiburg 1:3 this evening (Friday) thanks to a blitz of goals in the last minutes.
The young spirit and the diamonds of the club, who came off the bench, are completely the ones who sign the victory. It was Freiburg who scored first with a goal by Michael Gregoritz in the 35th minute, but in the 77th minute it was 18-year-old Jamie Byno Gittens who gave Dortmund the long-awaited lead from a goal by 17-year-old Yusuf Mokoko. What happened a few moments later then? So five minutes later the same Mokoko scored the 0:2 from a header by Julian Brandt.
That was not the end, when in the 88th minute Marius Wolf sealed the result of the game with an own goal and left Dortmund perfect after two rounds. Edin Trezic’s team temporarily rose to the top of the table.
