The year started with what felt like two Sundays, which ARD also took into account with two “crime scenes” on New Year’s Day and the real Sunday on January 2nd.
The second new “Tatort” of the new year performed better than the first – the Dortmund crime film “Greed and Fear” reached an average of 9.11 million viewers (28.3 percent market share) on Sunday evening, the Stuttgart New Year’s “Tatort” »Had 8.5 million viewers.
In second place at prime time on Sunday from 8:15 pm, ZDF came with the melodrama “Rosamunde Pilcher: Vier Luftballons”, which was tuned in by 5.38 million (16.7 percent).

ProSieben reaches around 0.60 million viewers (1.8 percent) with its football broadcasts in the evening.
In the early evening, Sat.1 started its 14th season with the slightly renamed slimmed-down docusoap “Life Made Easy – The Biggest Loser”: 1.29 million viewers were there from 5.30 p.m. (5.3 percent). The format was last started four years ago when it comes to quotas, the industry service “DWDL” reported on Monday.
The sixth and penultimate episode of the Vox series “Hape and the 7 Dwarf States” about the Pyrenees state Andorra reached 1.35 million viewers (4.7 percent) from 7.10pm.
With its documentary series “Terra X: A Day in New York 1882”, which was around the same time, ZDF reached more than twice as many, namely 3.46 million (11.8 percent from 7.30 p.m.).
