Dottori.it main search engine that collects and provides information on doctors and specialists in a transparent and complete way, announces today the acquisition of the majority of the capital of Appocrates , innovative company that designs and manufactures digital solutions for medium and large healthcare facilities.

Thanks to Booking project, web platform and flexible app for booking online healthcare services via web, App and Totem, Appocrates has already successfully managed around 15,000 vaccine bookings and 50,000 serological test bookings, thus facilitating the visiting experience for patients. The platform is adaptable to the management systems of each hospital and is able to interface directly with the booking agendas and to expose the availability and prices of the exams to the public.

Already in use at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, the CDI (Diagnostic Center) of Milan, the Poliambulance of Brescia and other renowned hospitals located in Bari, time.news and Chieti, the platform was recently adopted by ASST Civil Hospitals (https://vaccini.asst-spedalicivili.it/) e Apindustria Brescia (https://vaccini.apindustria.bs.it/) to manage the booking of vaccines on the occasion of the national vaccination campaign promoted during the covid. In this context, Dottori.it acts as a reference player by extending the use of the software Booking ™ to the whole national territory.

To date dottori.it has about 25,000 doctors and 700 bookable health facilities in its database by the user via the search engine. With the acquisition of Appocrate and the consequent direct management of Booking, Dottori.it proposes itself as an operator able to centralize vaccination bookings online throughout the territory national and will exceed 1.5 million managed bookings this year. The goal by 2023 is to aim to reach a managed business volume of around 500 million euro (considering the average price of the current services and the growth trend of visitors to the site).

Angelamaria Avino, CEO of dottori.it, he declares “The Macron effect and the Green Pass hypothesis in Italy have also generated important effects in our country, recording a strong surge in vaccination requests. With this acquisition, dottori.it is preparing to make hospitals and clinics accessible to users from all over Italy, through the Booking platform, with a solid and high quality B2B product already used by some of the main healthcare facilities in Italy. Together with the more than one million patient bookings managed by Appocrate alone by the end of the year, we can say that by 2023 clinics and hospitals will account for about 25% of the business volume and the number of bookings managed by the platform will quintuple “.

On a financial level, dottori.it closed the 2020 financial year with a turnover of 3.5 million euros, up by + 35% compared to 2019, and is aiming for 5 million euros in 2021, thanks to new developments in product.

The organization of dottori.it will allow to accelerate the diffusion of the Booking product on all potential customers while the portal will represent an additional access channel for the citizen in order to benefit from the hospital services: from the booking of the service, to the payment and check-in, to the collection of medical reports and viewing of their medical records.

By strengthening its offer of services to patients, dottori.it therefore promotes a range of digital solutions and consolidates its position on the market, accelerating the digitalization process of healthcare and involving stakeholders of all sizes.
