The alleged perpetrator of this assassination is also suspected of the murder of a young man aged 26, whose charred body was found in the woods of the town of Thise (Doubs) a few days later.

A third murder is even planned: when he disappeared, this 26-year-old man was with a 21-year-old young man who also disappeared, which had prompted the public prosecutor of Besançon, Étienne Manteaux, to broaden the investigation. investigation into the assassination to possible kidnapping of this second individual. He has not given any sign of life since and no body has been found, according to Est Républicain.

Probably linked to drug trafficking

The prosecutor had explained during a press conference on March 13 that this case was probably linked to drug trafficking. The settling of scores has multiplied in recent years in the Franche-Comté city, particularly in the Planoise district, the scene of several deadly shootings against the backdrop of a turf war between drug dealers.

Known to the police and justice services, the suspect was arrested by members of the territorial management of the Dijon judicial police in conjunction with their counterparts from the Marseille judicial police. It should be presented within 48 hours to the Besançon investigating judge in charge of the case.
