A 30-year-old suspected of the assassination of a man in Besançon at the end of February was arrested on Friday in Marseille, we learned this Sunday from a source close to the investigation, confirming information from The Republican East.
He is suspected of having assassinated Abdelkader Mesref at the end of February in Besançon. This 51-year-old man had been shot and killed by the rear passenger of a car in which he was. The attacker then fled. The alleged perpetrator of this assassination is also suspected of the murder of a young man aged 26, whose charred body was found in the woods of the town of Thise (Doubs) a few days later.
A third murder is even planned: when he disappeared, this 26-year-old man was with a 21-year-old young man who also disappeared, which had prompted the public prosecutor of Besançon, Étienne Manteaux, to broaden the investigation. investigation into the assassination to possible kidnapping of this second individual. He has not given any sign of life since and no body has been found, according to Est Républicain.
Probably linked to drug trafficking
The prosecutor had explained during a press conference on March 13 that this case was probably linked to drug trafficking. Known to the police and justice services, the suspect was arrested by members of the territorial management of the Dijon judicial police in conjunction with their counterparts from the Marseille judicial police.
