NEW YORK (Reuters) – Indexes and closed with modest gains on Monday after manufacturing data raised concerns about a slowing U.S. economy amid ongoing debt ceiling talks in Congress, while a rise in Meta shares helped lift the tech index.

According to preliminary data, the S&P 500 gained 0.31% to 4,136.51 points. The Nasdaq rose 0.66% to 12,365.21 points. The Dow Jones advanced 0.17% to 33,356.47 points.
