DOWNGRADING OF THE WOLF: CISINT (Lega) DECISIVE VOTE TODAY IN FAVOR OF THE EC PROPOSAL – FIDC – Italian Hunting Federation

The downgrading of the wolf protection regime is getting closer, from a particularly protected species to a protected one. The news was reported by the Lega MEP Anna Maria Cisint, who in her note communicates: “this morning in Brussels the European Commission’s proposal to downgrade the wolf species was voted on and the session ended with the approval expressed by the majority of EU countries in favor, including Italy and Germany; the next, decisive step will concern the modification of the Bern Convention, for which the secretariat will discuss the proposal in December.
