As the Israeli war on Gaza continues, its forces continue their violent bombardment of areas in the West Bank, leaving dead and wounded. What are the latest developments in Gaza and the West Bank?

In the West Bank, 10 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces, 6 in Jenin and 4 in Far’a camp in Tubas.

Palestinian media reported that “two Palestinians were killed by Israeli army gunfire after raiding the city of Jenin on Tuesday evening, and three others were killed after an Israeli drone bombed a vehicle in the village of Sayr, southeast of Jenin, at dawn on Wednesday. Two Palestinians were also killed and others were injured at dawn on Wednesday as a result of an Israeli army drone bombing of the Far’a camp, south of Tubas.”

According to the Wafa News Agency, “Israeli army forces surrounded the hospitals of Tulkarm city on Tuesday-Wednesday night, after raiding them from their western axis.”

The agency reported that “army vehicles were stationed around Al-Israa Specialized Hospital in the western district and the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, and imposed a siege on them, obstructed the movement of ambulances, and detained one of them in front of the government hospital, and searched it.”

In addition, Israeli Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, stressed today, Wednesday, the necessity of “working on a temporary evacuation of residents from the West Bank.”

Katz said, via his account on the “X” platform, that “what is happening in the West Bank is a war in every sense of the word, and we must win it,” stressing the need to deal with what he described as “the threat in the West Bank in the same way we deal with the Gaza Strip.”

The West Bank has witnessed an escalation in violence, especially since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, where more than 640 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces.

In Gaza, at least 13 Palestinians, including children, were killed in Israeli shelling of Khan Yunis and Jabalia, bringing the death toll from the Israeli war to 40,476 dead and 93,647 wounded since October 7.

Politically, an informed source told Reuters, “Negotiators from Israel, the United States, Egypt and Qatar are meeting in Doha today, Wednesday, to hold ‘technical and team-level’ talks on a ceasefire in Gaza.”

In the context, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi called on the “United Nations Security Council to take action against Israel, due to the statement of Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, about the desire to build a Jewish synagogue in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the city of Jerusalem.”

Safadi wrote on the “X” platform: “We call on the Security Council and all members of the international community to take immediate and effective measures to stop the illegal Israeli measures that violate the historical and legal status quo in the holy sites in occupied Jerusalem. The Security Council must adopt a binding resolution that prevents further Israeli violations and escalation around the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.”

“If you say that Muslims are not allowed to pray, you will kill me,” Ben-Gvir continued, noting that “there is no discrimination between Jews and Muslims, and therefore Muslims are allowed to pray anywhere, even at the Western Wall,” according to the Israeli newspaper, The Jerusalem Post.
