Dozens of Palestinians killed and injured in Gaza

Dozens of Palestinians were killed and others were injured as a result of Israeli air strikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian media reported that “Israeli aircraft bombed a residential apartment in the Al-Qalaa Towers, south of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, killing 6 Palestinians and wounding others. Two Palestinians were also killed and others were wounded, as a result of bombing a car east of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.”

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, “during the past hours, 12 Palestinians were killed and 43 were injured as a result of Israeli shelling,” while two Palestinians were killed and a number of others were injured as a result of Israeli shelling of a group of Palestinians in the Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.

In the same context, “Israeli artillery shelled the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, and fired at Palestinian homes in the Tal al-Hawa and al-Sabra neighborhoods of the city.”

In addition, “Israel bombed schools in the Gaza Strip at least 10 times during September, killing 86 people,” according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Palestine.

“In the past three days alone, the Israeli army has bombed at least three schools, two in Gaza City and one in Nuseirat camp, and in each of the raids, children and women were among the dead, with at least 16 children killed out of the 32 killed,” the UN commission said in a statement.

The statement indicated that “in September alone, 10 schools were bombed, killing 86 people.”

The death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza has risen by 354 to 41,467 dead and 95,921 wounded.
