In the same context, Hamas mourned the companions of the former head of the movement’s political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, and the workers in his office, stating that they “were killed in the bombing of the Shati camp yesterday, Monday.”

The movement said in a statement that “this crime shows the extent of the hatred that the occupation holds against everyone who is closely or distantly associated with the martyr leader Ismail Haniyeh, and this is a continuation of previous crimes committed in this context, not starting with the assassination of his sons and grandchildren, and the bombing of the homes of his relatives over the heads of their residents, and not ending with the crime of assassinating him in Tehran.”

She stressed that “the crimes of the occupation will not break in any way the will of resistance in the souls of our people and our resistance, and that the movement that, like all components of our great people, presented its children in this battle will continue the path of resistance and jihad until the enemy is defeated and broken in front of the blessed Palestinian will.”

Hamas announced the assassination of Haniyeh while he was at his residence in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian.
