Dozens of people in A Coruña ask for the end of the war in Ukraine

A Coruña and Ukrainians came together to pay homage to the victims on the day that marks one year of the armed conflict

For many it was not possible to hold back the tears in the concentration that AGA-Ucraína, Asdegal and Amnesty International convened this Friday in A Coruña to pay tribute to the victims of the ukrainian war. Thousands of people supported the call of the associations on the first anniversary of the war of the armed conflict and marched from the Obelisk to the Plaza de María Pita to ask for an end to the Russian invasion.

Among the participants, Coruña and Ukrainians, many of them refugees who left their country forced by the bombs, as well as citizens of different origins who came together yesterday to ask for peace, there were moments of great emotion, especially when it was the turn of the choral interpretation of the canon of Mozart, Grant us peace. In addition, A parade of typical Ukrainian costumes was held at the event.

Since the start of the war, AGA-Ucraína has brought almost 500 refugees to Galicia, but in total, in the Galician community there are about 1,400.
