Dozens of people were killed in floods in India and Bangladesh

Powerful floods have caused severe damage in India and Bangladesh. About 60 people were killed and millions more lost their homes. In the northeastern Indian state of Assam, 18 people have been killed as a result of the floods, and since Thursday two million people have lost their homes after a flood flooded. The same report also said that flights at Silt Airport had been suspended for the next three days because the flooding had covered the runways, said airport manager Hafiz Ahmad. The Silt Sonmagani highway was also flooded, but motorcycle traffic is still possible.

Bangladesh has a population of 160 million and the country is facing climate change and natural disasters such as floods and cyclones. According to the UN, 17 percent of the country’s residents will have to change their place of residence if global warming continues at the current rate.
