Director General of Applications and Informatics at the Ministry of Communication and Information, Hokky Situngkir, said he was aware of the incident.

According to him, they are currently collaborating with the National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN) in mitigating steps against the alleged hacking.

“We have (received news of the alleged hacking) and have also worked together with BSSN to mitigate it,” said Hokky Situngkir when met in South Jakarta, Thursday (22/8).

He said that his party was trying to anticipate the risk of leaks and misuse of personal data due to the alleged hacking practices.

“So, maybe if we look at it together, of course there should be no personal data exposed or exploited,” said Hokky.

In a screenshot circulating in cyberspace, an email account with the address [email protected] appears to be spreading messages containing calls for resistance to thousands of people.
