jpnn.com – Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Inquiry Committee Wisnu Wijaya suspected manipulation of the management of the Integrated Hajj Computerized System (Siskohat) after hearing statements from witnesses.

The PKS Faction legislator said that the Hajj Special Committee found that pilgrims who were supposed to depart for the holy land in 2026 as stated in Siskohat, could instead depart this year.

“Considering the number of special hajj pilgrims in the queue has reached almost 200 thousand with a waiting period of six to seven years, this practice is clearly not in accordance with applicable provisions,” Wisnu told the media crew, Wednesday (4/9).

According to the legislator from Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, the acceleration of the departure of pilgrims has given rise to suspicions of data manipulation in Siskohat.

“Whether the party playing is the operator, or is there an individual who orders the operator, or is there another party who changes things through the back door, this is what we are currently investigating and we hope there will be an evaluation related to the management of this system in the future,” Wisnu continued.

He said that on Tuesday (3/9) yesterday, the special committee also brought in a special prospective pilgrim as a witness to the government’s chaotic implementation of the Hajj.

According to Wisnu, a special congregation member admitted to the special committee that he was offered a price of USD 15 thousand to go on the Hajj pilgrimage.

However, said the legislator from Electoral District I of Central Java, the hajj pilgrims who provided information to the special committee were asked to pay up to USD 29.5 thousand before departure.
