Vatican City Ambassador Kevin S. Rundle met with Chief Counselor Muhammad Yunus on Monday.

Interim government chief advisor Professor Dr. Vatican City Ambassador Kevin S. Rundle met with Muhammad Yunus. He discussed religious minorities in Bangladesh, inter-religious dialogue, the Rohingya issue and the upcoming UN General Assembly meeting with the chief adviser at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna on Monday (August 9).

According to the press wing of the Chief Adviser, Randle proposed an interfaith dialogue between the representatives of the Vatican and the Islamic scholars of Bangladesh. Besides, he also opined that activities should be strengthened to help the more than 1 million Rohingyas who have taken refuge in Bangladesh.

The chief adviser told the Vatican ambassador that the interim government is giving priority to normalizing the law and order situation in the country. Besides, he informed the ambassador about the steps taken to reform the state after taking charge.

The Chief Adviser sought Vatican City’s assistance on Rohingya and state reform issues in the talks. Senior Secretary for SDG Affairs Lamia Morshed and Director General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kazi Russell Parvez were present with him at that time.
