After the trafficking of migrants and driving with alcohol, the Plovdiv doctor is now in Sliven prison
Dr. Irena Persenska, famous for trafficking migrants and driving with alcohol, has a third conviction – for smashing the car of her rival Petya Gudjeva. As we first reported, the doctor from the Plovdiv village of Trud is already in the Sliven prison.
The disobedient doctor also had an argument with a girl from the village, who had a crush on her husband. This happened around 2:30 p.m. on June 11, when Persenska took a tile and broke the windows and wipers of Gudjeva’s car with it. She also damaged the front cover of the vehicle and the damage was worth BGN 874. Then she also attacked the glass pane of the front door of the casino where Gudjeva worked. The damages there were for BGN 179.
Dr. Irena Persenska, who worked as the anesthesiologist at the “Plovdiv” UMBAL, was seven months pregnant when on March 10 of this year she was caught transporting 4 illegal migrants from Syria near Haskovo. With her were her friend – the military Dimitar Dinchev and Georgi Bozhikov, they all live in the village of Trud. She was released on bail because of her condition, her accomplices remained in custody. On May 19, 2023, Dr. Persenska gave birth to a daughter. Dinchev was released on June 9, and according to Persenska Gudjeva, she immediately started bothering him, constantly circling their home in her car. “We live in constant mental harassment from this girl. She calls my husband and my mother-in-law around the clock. My breast milk has stopped, it’s good that they sell powdered milk,” she then explained the attack to “24 Hours”. After some time, the doctor admitted her guilt and agreed to be punished with probation for 6 months.
She denied her involvement in the trafficking of migrants, but she also confessed to this before the Military Court in Plovdiv and agreed to a suspended sentence. However, on February 6 of this year, Dr. Persenska was caught driving around the village of Trud very drunk – with 2.46 ppm of alcohol. A new confession follows, but this time the sentence is already effective – 11 months in prison, and the doctor is already behind bars in Sliven. The District Court in Plovdiv is yet to decide whether to cumulate all her sentences.
