Dr. Kastytis Zubovas: “Liberation from the cradle: the new home of humanity in space”

by times news cr

“Since ancient times, people have dreamed of the far reaches of space and what could happen there. Are other planets similar to Earth? Would it be possible to go there, or even live there? Nowadays, dreams have not disappeared, and scientific discoveries and inventions follow them. In the lecture, I will present both the visions and challenges of humanity’s expansion into space, as well as more specific plans for today,” reveals the scientist.

Dr. Kastytis Zubov is an FTMC astrophysicist who studies black holes and galaxy evolution in his daily work. He is also a fantasist who devotes a large part of his free time to reading fiction and organizing various events. Space colonization is one of the topics where these two interests come together perfectly.

On September 11, the “Inspire Science” series of presentations of scientific inventions to the public at the Museum of Energy and Technology begins. Presentations will take place every Wednesday. During them, FTMC scientists will talk about scientific research and innovations being developed abroad and in Lithuania.
