Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif
As the chief advisor of the interim government, Dr. Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Muhammad Yunus.
The press wing of the chief adviser said that on Friday (August 30) Dr. Prime Minister of Pakistan congratulated Yunus by phone.
Shehbaz Sharif wished the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government well and hoped that the cordial relations between the two South Asian countries Pakistan and Bangladesh would take the form of cooperation for the benefit of their people.
Dr. thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan for congratulating him by telephone. Yunus. He also thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan for sending a condolence message expressing grief and condolence over the flood victims in Bangladesh. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his desire to help people affected by floods in Bangladesh.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized on reviving the relationship between the two countries and said that there is immense scope and potential for bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif laid emphasis on resuming activities like Foreign Secretary-level talks and Joint Economic Commission between Dhaka and Islamabad. Dr. Yunus also emphasized on economic relations between the two countries and people-to-people connections.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized the need to revive SAARC. Chief advisor. Muhammad Yunus said he is committed to reviving SAARC as an apex regional forum to strengthen relations among South Asian countries.
Dr. Yunus stressed on holding regular SAARC summits and a short meeting between heads of state and government of SAARC countries at the earliest.
