The press wing of the chief adviser said that on Friday (August 30) Dr. Prime Minister of Pakistan congratulated Yunus by phone.

Shehbaz Sharif wished the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government well and hoped that the cordial relations between the two South Asian countries Pakistan and Bangladesh would take the form of cooperation for the benefit of their people.

He also thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan for sending a condolence message expressing grief and condolence over the flood victims in Bangladesh. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized the need to revive SAARC. Chief advisor. Muhammad Yunus said he is committed to reviving SAARC as an apex regional forum to strengthen relations among South Asian countries.

Dr. Yunus stressed on holding regular SAARC summits and a short meeting between heads of state and government of SAARC countries at the earliest.
