HARTFORD, Conn. – Dr. Robert roose, president of Community Hospitals at Trinity Health Of New England, has been appointed as an at-large delegate to the American Hospital Assoc. (AHA) Regional Policy Board 1, a move that will influence healthcare policy discussions nationwide.
The appointment, announced this week, elevates Dr.Roose to a key advisory role within the AHA, allowing him to directly contribute to shaping healthcare policy at a regional level. He will participate in policy discussions three times a year, bringing the outlook of Trinity Health of New England’s hospitals – Mercy Medical Centre, Johnson Memorial Hospital, and Saint Mary’s Hospital – to the table. The AHA utilizes member recommendations in its policy deliberations, meaning Dr. Roose’s insights could have a meaningful impact.

Roose has successfully spearheaded several significant projects, including the advancement of the andy Yee Palliative Care Unit at Mercy, the opening of the Geriatric Wellness Pavilion at Johnson, and the completion of the $50 million S. Prestley & Helen Blake Ambulatory Care Center in Enfield, ensuring a smooth transition of care for patients.
