American astronauts travel to space

Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Niyadi will spend 6 months at the International Space Station and engage in research. UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum congratulated the UAE player. The UAE’s first astronaut, Hasa Al Mansoori, went to the International Space Center in 2019 and returned to Earth after staying for 8 days and achieved a historic feat.

American astronaut

41-year-old Sultan Al Niyadi was also training with him as an alternate astronaut at the time. Subsequently, the two were given a 20-month training course by NASA, the American space agency, to walk in space and spend a long time studying at the International Space Station.

Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Niyadi, who is currently trained at NASA, is also making a record by setting foot in space for the first time. He is the second Emirati astronaut to go into space and the first Arab astronaut to spend a long time exploring the International Space Station.

US astronaut Sultan Al Niyati, American NASA astronauts Commander Stephen Bowen, pilot Warren Hoburg and Russian cosmonaut Andrey Bedayev are traveling on the long-duration exploration mission ‘SpaceX Crew-6’ to NASA’s International Space Station.

Special training at NASA…

The first phase of this was special training on board the Dragon capsule of SpaceX. The exercise was attended by Sultan Al Niyadi along with fellow NASA astronauts at the SpaceX headquarters. Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Niyadi and fellow astronauts will travel aboard the Dragon spacecraft. It is mounted on the tip of the Falcon 9 rocket and launched into space.

Astronauts traveling in it have to stay for 24 hours before reaching the International Space Station. Then after completing the mission there it has to return to earth in the same capsule. This spacecraft will land in the ocean region of the Earth. The astronauts are also given emergency training to get out of the water. In addition to these exercises, Sultan Al Niyadi has also been trained to overcome challenges such as handling the high-speed rotation of the capsule while soaring high in the rocket, and going against the Earth’s gravity.

Adjournment…

Crew 6 was scheduled to travel to Florida on February 19. But at that time there was already a plan to send a new spacecraft to rescue the 3 Russian astronauts who were stuck in the International Space Center due to the failure of the Soyuz capsule, so this trip was announced on the 26th of February and then postponed to the next day, the 27th. The rescheduled date was announced yesterday due to a technical glitch in the last 2½ minutes before the launch of the rocket.

Meeting with family…

Following this, the officials of the Dubai Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center headed by Yusuf Hamad Al Shaibani, the center’s general director, went to the Kennedy Space Center in the United States to give way to the space flight of the UAE soldier Sultan Al Niyadi. Earlier, a program was held where family, friends and officials met him.

On the recommendation of doctors, Sultan Al Niyadi was allowed to visit only the children. He enjoyed picking up his children. He waved to other friends and Dubai Space Center officials from a distance.

In the Dragon Spaceship

Following yesterday, all the astronauts, including Sultan Al Niyati, were taken to the launch pad in special cars from the Neil Armstrong Operations Center at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA. They were taken in 2 cars, two per car. At the rocket launch site known as 39A Launch Complex, all the astronauts were dressed in a special ‘pressure suit’.

This suit is designed to compensate for the low pressure that occurs when going to very high altitudes. The costumed astronauts were placed in a Dragon spacecraft mounted on the tip of an unfueled rocket. Then they tested the technologies there and prepared for space travel.

Successfully launched…

SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft was mounted on launch pad 39A on the tip of a Falcon 9 rocket. The rocket was then refueled and launched at 9.41am UAE time with an engine countdown. In this, a huge flame of fire successfully flew into the sky, belching smoke.

Sultan Al Niyati sent the message at 9.43 am while on the Dragon spacecraft. In it, he mentioned that the next time he contacted you, he would be at the International Space Station.

The Dragon spacecraft separated from the rocket at 9.50 and began its high-speed mission. 28 thousand 163 speed per hour started the 2nd stage. At 9.57 he connected on the wireless link and started his conversation with ‘Assalamu Alaikum’ (Peace be upon you) in Arabic.

Suhail Muscat…

At exactly 10.30 am he went into zero gravity. Then the mascot of Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center named Suhail (a cartoon character doll) which he was holding in his hand started floating in the spaceship. It is a toy used as a symbol of gravity.

In the Earth’s orbit…

Next, at 10.45 a.m., SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft reached Earth orbit with 4 astronauts on board. Then its speed was continuously 28 thousand 163 km per hour. It was 400 km from Earth continuously. NASA scientists have calculated that it will take 25 hours to reach the International Space Station orbiting at high altitude. Astronaut Sultan Al Niyadi is set to conduct a total of 19 types of scientific research for universities in the emirate.

Crown Prince Watched Live…

NASA and the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center broadcast the long-duration spaceflight live. Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who visited the Dubai Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center in the morning, watched the launch of the rocket with great interest. Everyone, including the Crown Prince, applauded when the Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Dragon spacecraft successfully took off on the big screen in the space control center there. .

Congratulations to the President and Vice President…

In a congratulatory message issued yesterday by the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan regarding this successful space mission, he said:-

Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Niyadi’s successful space flight marks the start of a new ambition for the UAE. As the son of the emirate, he bears it. For the 2nd time Emirates is setting foot on the International Space Station. This initiative will continue to contribute to the development of humanity.

He said this.

Vice President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, “Sultan Al Niyadi, the son of the emirate, is going to space with God’s protection.” He will seek the honor of being the first Arab astronaut to do long-term exploration. This path will give hope and knowledge to the Arab youth.
