Personnel from the Municipal Water and Sanitation System of Torreón (SIMAS), work quickly to repair a failure in the pressure emitter of the wastewater conduction line that directs the liquid from the Nueva Laguna sector to the collector of Los Rodriguez.
Raymundo Rodríguez de la Torre, technical manager of SIMAS, explained that it was the same pressure with which the system works that caused the pipe to break, adding that the damage caused ponding to form in some sections of the surrounding streets and increase in the level of the tajito channel.
In this sense, he indicated that as a first action, the equipment of the driving system was stopped, to immediately correct the defect.
In addition, agency personnel implemented actions to remove wastewater from the streets and normalize the level of the canal.
The official reported that both tasks, both the removal of the liquid and the repair of the damage, will be resolved during tonight.
