- This SS11 was full of dangers since many drivers were trapped. If Elfyn Evans, Takamoto Katsuta and Thierry Neuville managed to escape, this was not the case for Kalle Rovanperä. Virtually leading the special even though he was the last to pass, the Finn made a mistake. Arriving too quickly at a bend, the Toyota driver hit the shoulder and turned around on the other side of the road, ending up on his door.

- It’s over for Kalle Rovanperä who hands the lead of the Rally Portugal to Sébastien Ogier. The Frenchman is now in control with a 3.4″ lead over Ott Tänak and 15.7″ ahead of Takamoto Katsuta.
- In WRC2, leader Oliver Solberg suffered the same fate as Kalle Rovanperä, a hundred meters further on the course. No doubt distracted by the Finn’s exit, the Swede crashed and lost everything in this affair. Yohan Rossel takes the lead in the category.
The start of SS12 is scheduled for 11:10 a.m.
