Car Chase Ends Dramatically in Stockholm Suburb After Pedestrian’s Close Call

In a shocking incident in Fagersjö, a motorist refused to stop for the police, leading to a dangerous car chase that ended only after a pedestrian had to throw himself to the side. A film clip capturing the dramatic end of the hunt has since surfaced.
The car chase started at around 8 p.m. on Magelungsvägen in southern Stockholm during a routine traffic control. “Then it’s a driver who doesn’t stop, and then it became a pursuit,” said police spokesperson Towe Hägg.
The pursuit eventually came to a dramatic end in a roundabout in Enskede, as seen in the film obtained by Aftonbladet. The footage shows a police car with sirens blaring and a motorcycle police chasing after the motorist in the roundabout. In a heart-stopping moment, a pedestrian had to quickly throw himself to the side in order to avoid being struck by the fleeing vehicle. The police managed to stop the car by pushing it, and three officers swiftly apprehended the driver.
“They are still on the scene. I have no further information at the moment,” Towe Hägg stated in response to the incident.
Later in the evening, the police announced on their website that the driver is being investigated for drugged driving, and there may be additional criminal charges. Thankfully, no one required ambulance medical care during the car chase, although a traffic accident did occur between the motorbike police and another driver.
This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers posed by reckless behavior on the roads. Authorities continue to prioritize traffic control measures and enforcement to ensure public safety.
