The Hague amusement park, Drievliet, is undergoing a significant transformation this winter, with its entrance area set for a complete overhaul. The beloved Lol Atol harbor section will be reimagined as Pelican Pier, boasting charming harbor houses, refreshed décor, and a brand-new attraction—a relocated whirligig ride.
A Fresh Look for a Family Favorite
Drievliet is investing in a major update to enhance the visitor experience.
A behind-the-scenes video released by Drievliet offers a sneak peek at the construction process. Presenter Amber Mae Smit guides viewers through the bustling construction site and the workshop where attractions are being meticulously renovated. The video also unveils initial designs for the upcoming Pelican Pier.
The break dance ride, Vortex, has concluded its run at the park. Preparations are already underway for the introduction of the new StoomCyclone carousel, a sidecar XL attraction manufactured by Italian company Technical Park. A dedicated candy kiosk, Suyker Stoom, will also be part of the new area.

Drievliet is also providing a glimpse into its entertainment plans for 2026. The park’s new season is scheduled to begin on Friday, April 3.
