An unfortunate event occurred in the early hours of this Friday, July 28 in Bogotá, when a driver, apparently in a highly intoxicated state, ran over a woman who worked in a construction site, who died due to serious injuries.
The victim, identified as Cielo Alvarado, was a 57-year-old woman who worked as a traffic assistant for a northern highway concession in the country’s capital. The woman, before being run over by the subject, was doing her daily work on a section of the road where she was run over.

According to the Ojo de la Noche, from Blu Radio and Noticias Caracol, the event occurred precisely on the north highway, at the height of 122nd street, south-north direction. At this point, the driver exceeded the speed and without the possibility of maneuvering, he ran over and dragged the woman for several meters.
Several witnesses assured that the run over to the woman was shocking. He “he picked her up from where the dump truck is, at that distance, and left her there; he took her with everything. (What condition would the man be in?) Drunk,” said one of the witnesses in the area to Ojo de la noche.
