The National Road Safety Agency (ANSV) and the Ministry of Transportation of the province of Buenos Aires suspended the driver’s license of the truck driver who on Friday knocked down a pedestrian bridge on Route 36, in an incident that occurred near the Alpargatas roundabout. , in the south of the Buenos Aires suburbs.

His National Interjurisdictional Transportation License (LiNTI) issued by the agency dependent on the Ministry of Transportation of the Nation was also disqualified.
To recover both documents, the driver will be re-evaluated with different tests that determine his aptitude behind the wheel and will also be sued for the damages caused, indicated a statement from the ANSV.
“What we saw yesterday (Friday) is a clear act of negligence on the part of the truck driver and luckily it had no major consequences other than material damage. We always say that driving is a responsibility and even more so when it is a driver of large vehicles that transports loads. The suspension of this driver is already a reality and now he must go through different tests that enable him to drive again, if the results of the tests show that he is fit for such purpose,” remarked the executive director of the ANSV, Pablo Martínez. Carignano.
For his part, the Buenos Aires Minister of Transportation, Jorge D’Onofrio, expressed that “this is a case of great irresponsibility and unconsciousness. We are grateful that there was only material damage and no victims were reported.”
“This reckless action put even the driver himself at risk. There is an urgent need to become aware and change these actions behind the wheel, to be more responsible, especially when it comes to a professional driver,” said the official.
The suspension arises from provision 384/2020 promoted by the ANSV, which allows the provisional suspension of the National Driver’s License of drivers who present some type of alteration in their ability to drive and who register a serious danger to road safety. .
