Moscow: Three people were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on the Engels Airbase in southern Russia. The Russian air defense systems shot down the drone that targeted the Engels base, where fighter jets were deployed yesterday, but three technical personnel died from injuries caused by the debris falling from the drone, the Ministry of Defense said. No residents were injured. Two planes have minor damage. The Engels base is one of the main sites Russia chooses to launch missile strikes at targets in Ukraine. Earlier this month, a Ukrainian drone attack was also blamed on a Russian airbase.
