An influential Russian propagandist has been beside himself since drone attacks have multiplied on the territory of the Russian Federation, even going so far as to brandish the nuclear threat.

Vladimir Solovyov, a journalist with the Russian propaganda service, went off the rails on his radio show on August 30.

A few hours earlier, enemy drones attacked several targets, including Moscow and Pskov, where four military aircraft were destroyed.

Bryansk, Kaluga, Oryol and Ryazan oblasts also recorded drone strikes.

Before and after images of an Ilyushin II-76 parked on a runway at the Pskov military base in the west of the country have been released by the company “Planet Labs”.

In his monologue, Solovyov blamed NATO for the drone attack, even accusing the military organization of being in direct confrontation with Russia.

The latter claims that the Ukrainians can rely on Western military intelligence to carry out these precise strikes.

“If the strike was launched from a NATO country, it is a declaration of war against Russia! This means that in return, nuclear weapons must be used immediately, on the sidelines of several things”, he lambasted in an extract relayed by the “Russian Media Monitor” on YouTube.

The Russian began his monologue by slaying the governors of the Russian regions affected by the strikes, who he says are mere “bloggers”.

“What are you doing? Why are you posting pictures (of the damage)? (…) It was a powerful attack! How is it possible? What is the origin? There are losses in terms of military air equipment,” he recalls.

In an interview with the Al Jazeera channel, a captain of the Ukrainian army affirms that “this is only the beginning” of these strikes in Russian territory.

“War is on. We did not start this war, but Ukraine will end this war by winning it,” Volodymyr Omelyan said.

The Russian authorities do not list any deaths in relation to the events of the past few days.
